I am now working on two books: working title The Deadly Cyber Warrior in which John Wynters takes on cyber criminals. Wynters is thrust into a new role for him. An international war against cybercrime in which he takes one step back for every step forward. As the successes and failures tumble over each other, Wynters must find a way out of the maze that threatens to cost him his life.
The Red-Tape Suicide Reimagined, the rewrite of a satire concerned with the activities inside those ubiquitous marble buildings in Washington DC. Robb Moore is hired to prepare the budget submission for the little-known Bureau of Bureaucracy.
During the time he prepares the budget submission, Robb meets the nemesis of good government: bureaucratic inertia. The process, not the goal, has become paramount. Only the process can make things happen; therefore, the process is in charge. The Seniors, who know they have benefited greatly by the system as it is, have no interest in changing it. The work force thinks any change will just be another way to screw them and do more for the Seniors.
Robb quickly learns about working in Washington, D.C., the famous “inside the Beltway.” He must battle budgetary chicanery as well as Dillard’s dithering, and quick abandonment of Robb. Perhaps it is the contrast, a blinding flash of divine light in the dark night of office politics, that makes Robb’s meeting of Emily Newman so special for him. Emily is a beautiful blond with brains. She was given opportunities because of her looks but succeeded because of her intelligence and common sense. She wants to be treated like James Monroe but cannot help looking like Marilyn Monroe. Emily and Robb will fall in love.
